The corner public house site sits on rising ground and is bounded by a residential terrace and residential block. In order to relate to both built edges, a separate and single house was designed to end the housing terrace and act as a transition to the corner flat block, which itself turns the corner more successfully as it stands adjacent to the existing downhill flat block.

Overall this yields 7 houses and apartments many with their own gardens and all others with well orientated southern balconies. The form of the buildings, their regular fenestration patterns, distinguished bay windows and partially recessed balconies allow the brick clad buildings to attain a good fit with the townscape and varying context.
