The residential master plans cover estate renewal programmes, which include the selective demolition of older residential accommodation in poorer condition and the establishment of new infill residential blocks on rolling decanting phased programmes. Improvement works to retained flats and blocks include, entrance upgrades, security improvements works, internal fittings, landscaping and fabric as well as insulation improvements often with over cladding and window replacement works.
Tenant consultation remains most important in such exercises to inform the local community and to retain their support for the extended disruption and lengthy construction works.
