For Kunna Architects architecture is both an object and process which involves; preparing, designing, building, occupying, adapting and eventually  divesting and dismantling. This cannot occur without the use of resources with  regards to environmental materials and energy, social resources, economic time and capital investment. All of these are finite and so precious and must be used and employed with careful forethought and due respect.

These phases of architecture if seen through a necessary and sustainable approach yield these six steps of ETPLUS which provide our clients with a futures approach here today with  sensitivity and appreciation to the;

Extraction of raw materials from the earth.

Transportation or carriage of; raw materials, manufactured products and people to their

various destinations.

Processing of; raw materials to manufactured products and ultimately assembled components.

Life span or duration of the constructed; materials, assemblies and buildings.

Utilisations, adaption and recycling of the structures, the amount of, ease of, the time taken to do so and the quality of.

Sustainability or replenishment of the facilities, how long it takes to replace the raw materials and energy used in all of the natural and human made resources employed and the quantity to run the facilities.
