Frank attended university at the then University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology (UWIST) in Cardiff, Wales and completed his architectural studies at Portsmouth University and received registration there in 1997.
He worked for IDC Consultants (now part of the John Wood Group PLC) in his first training year and thereafter moved onto work at Baily Garner working in the residential sector where he mastered 3d CAD and where he became chartered. At BPTW he extended his residential experience coupling it with masterplanning and mixed use developments. Here he became an associate achieving many planning application successes and building awards among which was the Building for Life gold award for Clyde Terrace. From there he entered directorship at MDR Associates where he developed and lead the architectural department over a seven year period, achieving approaching 1,000 planning permission units, over 200 hotel rooms and 11,000m2 of commercial space. He also mentored and trained all practice students in this period to attain professional recognition. He was also central in the practice's establishment and running of its architectural QA system and procedures. He contributed in an invaluable manner to client project delivery, design quality and benchmarking, fee negotiation, appointment agreements and service execution.
In 2014 he established Kunna Architects as a trading professional architectural consultancy service, whose reputation and standing with its clients and in its business sector is deepening and developing in terms of its reputation for quality and value. Additional architectural sectors where experience has been gained and expanded upon include the; education sector, industrial sector, retail sector, heritage and conservation along with commercial space planning and fit-out.
